TOP 5 WEEKEND GETAWAYS IN MARYLAND, PART IV

Harbor

Looking to sneak away this weekend? Get out of town and forget all your worries at St. Michael’s which is the fourth ranked weekend getaway in Maryland by USA Today. If you’re looking for a blast to the past check out last week’s third rank location and head out to Annapolis. Although Annapolis and St. Michael’s have a similar feel. St. Michael’s is more of a quaint town located on Maryland’s eastern shore between Tilghman Island and Easton.

Go antiquing, take a romantic horse and buggy ride, visit the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and charter a skipjack ride around one of Maryland’s most beautiful waterways. Enjoy a real life reenactment from the War of 1812 or head on over to Perry’s Cabin Ball Field and enjoy a movie under the stares. Stay at a local bed and breakfast or inn and try some of Maryland’s seafood cuisine, including its famous crab cakes and oyster sandwiches, at one of the many seafood restaurants in town. St. Michael’s has beautiful scenery with old fashion lighthouses that set the stage for gorgeous sunsets on the eastern shore of the bay. St. Michael’s is about an hour and a half car ride from the Laurel area.  To insure that there are no snags in your weekend bring your vehicle by Academy Ford for so we can do a quick check up. The Bronze service, starting at $57.50, will insure that you have nothing to worry about except relaxing and enjoying your weekend.
